Comparison of Two Approaches based on Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) and a Modified Version of Group Therapy on Early Maladaptive Schemas in Clients in Divorce

Abstract

Purpose: We aimed to compare the effectiveness of the approach based on acceptance and commitment training (ACT) and a modified version of group therapy on early maladaptive schemas was presented on the basis of the divorce.
Methods: In a pilot experiment using two experimental groups and one control group, 60 people divorce Nur Abad city authorities or referred by the Family Court Welfare Centers, Relief Committee and the Health Network Counseling ‌ sampling method that would have been selected. Acceptance and Commitment Training for the first group and second group of narrative therapy group and the control group received no training. Research a short form questionnaire early maladaptive schemas, ‌ Yang (YSQ-SF) were collected. For data analysis of variance with repeated measures was used.
Findings: The results showed that training based on acceptance and commitment (ACT) and narrative therapy group than in the control group significantly modify the schema  you  incompatible have been effective (001/0 ≥ P).
Conclusion: So pay attention to the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment-based training (ACT) and narrative therapy in counseling and psychotherapy  families have a special significance.
