Meta Analysis of Effectiveness of Psychological Groups Intervention On Rate of Marital Satisfaction (Iran- 1383-1389)

Abstract

Purpose:In recent years, with attending to increasing dissatisfactions in daily life, achievement marital satisfaction was imported for couples, family therapist and other psychologists. Therefore researchers have done very studies in this field and have reported various results of effectiveness of interventions on improve marital satisfaction.. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of psychological interventions and trainings on increasing marital satisfaction by meta-analysis. Meta-analysis with the integration of result, demonstrate effect size of treatments
Method: For this purpose, 19 acceptable studies in terms of methodology were selected, and meta-analysis performed on them. Research instrument was a checklist of meta-analysis.
Results: The study findings showed that the rate of effect size of psychological interventions and trainings on increasing marital satisfaction was 0/7 (p<0/001) which according to Cohen’s table was high. Amount moderation analysis for this study was 0/1 that show there is/are a moderator/s variable.
Conclusion: Psychological interventions and trainings are suitable treatments on increasing marital satisfaction and regarded to exist moderator/s variable in effectiveness psychological interventions and training on marital satisfaction, attention to these factors in next studies is necessary.
