The Journal of Family Counseling and Psychotherapy (JFCP) is a peer-reviewed, semiannual academic publication dedicated to advancing theory, research, and practice in the fields of family counseling and psychotherapy. Published by the University of Kurdistan, the journal serves as a platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to disseminate original empirical studies, theoretical contributions, and applied clinical insights that address the multifaceted dynamics of family systems and therapeutic intervention. With a commitment to scientific rigor and practical relevance, the journal encompasses a broad spectrum of topics, including but not limited to: family therapy models and techniques, couple and marital counseling, parent-child relationships, family resilience and coping, psychological assessment within family contexts, and culturally informed approaches to counseling and psychotherapy. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, the journal aims to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice, ultimately contributing to the enhancement of mental health and well-being within families and communities. The Journal of Family Counseling and Psychotherapy (JFCP) welcomes submissions from both national and international researchers, with a particular emphasis on studies that reflect the cultural, social, and psychological contexts of families in Iran and the wider region. Through its rigorous peer-review process and open-access online platform, the journal strives to ensure the wide dissemination of knowledge and to stimulate scholarly exchange among academics, clinicians, and students.
