Abstract

Purpose: The relationship beliefs such as irrational thoughts, pre-treatment and negative attitudes, false beliefs, personal prejudice and negative perceptions of each other in couples have important roles in their marital conflicts. In this regards this study examines the impact of Humanism on relationship beliefs in women who confer to consulting or cultural-educational centers in Isfahan.
Methods: This is a semi-empirical study consisting of a pre-test and a post-test. In which three groups including a control group were investigated. The research sample was randomly chosen from 114 applicants of group training and was divided into three groups. The first group (15 couples) consisted of individuals who participated in course along with their spouses; the second group (30 applicants) consisted of individuals who participated alone, without their spouses; and the third group (30 applicants) consisted of individuals as the control group. All the three groups were firstly tested by Relationship Beliefs Inventory (RBI), as pre-tests. The first two groups were instructed through group trainings of transactional behavior analysis in 10 sessions, and then the same tests were run as post-tests. To analyze the data a Multivariate Analysis of Covariance Test and Post Hoc Bounfrounie Test were used.
Findings: The results of group training of humanism show that there is a significant difference between relationship beliefs of women in the first group and women in the control group (p ). There is a meaningful difference between the relationship beliefs of women of the first group and the women of the second group; and also between the woman in the second group and women in the control group (p  ).
Conclusion: It can be concluded that Humanism Group Training can be helpful on Married Women's Relationship Beliefs.
