Thirty-seven couples (74 persons) selected by convenient sampling among distressed couples who referred to counseling centers in Sanandaj and assigned randomly to three groups. One of the groups received 12 intervention sessions of integrative behavioral couple therapy (IBCT) and the other group received 10 intervention sessions of redecision therapy, but the control group received no intervention. The Marital commitment questionnaire was applyig for data collection. The gathered data were analyzed using analysis of mixed variance in SPSS21 software. The outcomes indicated that the gender of couples have had little impact on the effectiveness of interventions of couple therapy. In addition, the statistical analysis outcomes showed that both treatments eclectic behavioral treatment and redecision therapy contributed to the improvement of marital commitment (P<0.05). There were 41 percent of the marital commitment changes explained by therapeutic interventions.
